More about 303-GO

The general goal of 303-GO is to inspire, equip and guide every single member of Hope Community Church to participate in The Great Commission. To measure how we’re doing, the following specific goals have been set:

Beginning January 1, 2010, we hope to see...

  • 300 Hopesters Over the course of 3 years participate in a “God Op,”
  • 300 Hopesters Over the course of 3 years help send others on “God Ops,” or
  • 300 Hopesters Over the course of 3 years pray for missionaries and those participating in “God Ops”

God Ops

Simply put, a God Op is an operation in which Hopesters serve others, all while their actions glorify God. In addition to serving and accomplishing mission-specific tasks, a goal of each God Op is to lead each participant to a deeper, more personal relationship with Our Father.

There are many types of God Ops that will take place. For instance:

  • work projects
  • providing teaching/education/vocational training
  • providing medical services
  • evangelism
  • scouting new ministries and opportunities to serve
  • missionary support/encouragement

God Ops can be performed locally or involve travel in state, in the US or to a foreign country. The service time of a God Op is a minimum of five days within a three-month period. A God Op always has a specific plan to benefit another people group, and has an opportunity for its members’ spiritual growth. Every God Op will set aside a time each day for its GO-Team members to have individual and group reflection, devotions and prayer. GO-Team members will also record or journal their experiences so that the entire Hope body can see how God was moving through them.
