Since 1990, Bullfrogs & Butterflies has offered an excellent developmental preschool education – one so cherished, many former students are now bringing their own kids here to start their formal education. We believe the thing that sets B&B apart is we teach in a Christian environment. Because of this, our staff tends to go beyond the “required,” treating their roles as a ministry, as well. In short... at B&B we teach the ABCs, AND we plant seeds of faith.

About Our Staff

The B&B staff includes eight teachers and aides. By the way, half of our staff has been teaching here for more than a decade.

Sharon Weldon - Director of Bullfrogs and Butterflies Preschool

Sharon loves taking polliwogs and caterpillars and watching them become Bullfrogs and Butterflies. Her passion for teaching young children is evident in her credentials: more than two decades of early childhood teaching experience; BA in social work; Child Development Associate Degree by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition; and is a member of the Wichita Association for the Education of Young Children.

Jackie Schmidt - Administrator, Bullfrogs & Butterflies Preschool

A long-time Hopester, Jackie has also worked with Bullfrogs & Butterflies since 1992. She earned an Early Childhood Education Certificate from Butler community College in 2007.

Class Options

Polliwogs - children 3 years old by August 1 and potty trained

2-day-per-week classes:  Tue/Thu or Wed/Fri; Tuition: $105.00 per month

Pre-K - 4- and 5-year olds

3-days-per-week class: Tue–Thu mornings /  Tuition: $130.00 per month

Enrollment

Class sizes are limited, so enrollment is on a first-come/first-served basis. Before enrolling, contact us to find out if any spots are available for the upcoming semester.

Enrollment fee: $85.00 (non-refundable)

To register, contact the B&B office to check availability. If there are open spots, print out the enrollment form and return it to B&B with a check for the $85.00 registration fee.
