Home ChurchesMain contacts: Pastor Nick Martineau Home Churches are small groups of Hopesters who meet regularly to fellowship, study God’s Word, and pray for each other. Most Home Churches share a dinner. They also sometimes get together for a show or ballgame, do service projects, or just have fun. Simply put, they are “being” the church for each other. Lifelong relationships are created and deepened in home churches. These are truly the New Testament models of a Christian lifestyle. Hope InstituteMain contacts: Pastor Nick Martineau One very powerful way to grow deeper in your faith is to attend Hope Institute classes. A range of classes – from theological studies to parenting and marriage studies – are offered at different times during the year. While many of the classes meet on Sunday mornings, some are also offered on weekday evenings. Current Classes: Hope 102This class walks you through scripture to help you discover some basic beliefs of the Christian faith. Main contacts: Pastor Tom Howland Women’s MinistryMain contacts: Deidra Thomas This group challenges women to KNOW Christ, to GROW in Christ, and to ECHO His heart to the world. They do studies geared for 20- and 30-somethings, and they eat a lot. Group service projects and retreats also serve as ways for young adults to connect with each other. Senior Adults MinistryMain contacts: Pastor Nick Martineau These folks in the 55+ crowd like to get together for food, fellowship, and helping each other out. Watch for special events. Service TeamMain contacts: Herk Russell Tim Ralston This is a practical, “hands on” way of serving others and learning to give more than you get. Men (and women and kids) join forces to help people in need by pounding nails, roofing houses, pouring concrete… you know, building and fixing stuff … all in the name of Christ. Great way to meet other Hopesters and learn new skills. Prayer ChainMain contacts: Naomi Wallace When members of the Hope body, and others, need increased petitioning before God, this team goes into action. If you are a prayer warrior, you’re urged to join the team. While performing the work, HIA volunteers also minister to the heart of the recipients through fellowship and caring. Typical HIA projects are: clearing debris, painting, rebuilding a porch or wheelchair ramp, repairing a building from storm damage, etc. HIA projects occur monthly. Anyone who is willing can be of use on a HIA project.
