STUFF TO DO - SPRING 2010

Sunday am

11am in the Youth Room every Sunday. Have some refreshments, sing some songs, chew on and discuss Truth, stay connected. This Spring, we are talking a lot about wisdom. Scripture has a lot to say about Wisdom. There are whole books in the Bible devoted what Wisdom is, as God sees it, and how to get it. You might be surprised to find that having Wisdom doesn't necessarily mean you're old and have a beard, although your grandpa probably is pretty wise.

SNL (Sunday Night Live)

Once a month, we just have some plain old-fashioned fun.

Next SNL:

Feb. 7th - SUPER BOWL PARTY @ Scott LaMunyon's (223 S. 2nd St., Towanda). 5-9 pm. Bring a snack or drink to share!

Cells

Small, committed units of believers learning what it is like to follow Jesus alongside one another. 7 pm Wednesdays at Members’ homes:

Guys @ Aaron Schneider’s (800 N. Sandpiper, Wichita)

Girls @ Lauren Whiteside’s (121 Cardinal Ln., Wichita)

Street Outreach Meal

2ND THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH
The High School Group wants you to know that once a month (on the second Thursday), we are responsible for providing, preparing and serving a meal to homeless teens in Wichita. Wichita Children’s Home puts on this meal each week and they also have a support-group session following the meal that we are welcome to join. Typically, at least one adult and a few students from Hope arrive at Korean United Methodist Church (255 S. Estelle) around 5 to prepare the meal, which is served at 6 pm. Then we clean up, participate in the group session and head home. If any of you are interested in funding, preparing or otherwise helping out with this project, please contact Joel by clicking . Thanks!
