Counseling Andover and Wichita, KansasFind Hope for your family, your marriage, yourself.About Counseling at Hope Community ChurchCounseling (or therapy) at Hope Community Church is all about helping people find peace, hope and reconciliation. Hope is a place for broken people and we hope that you’ll take the time to find what you need here. Therapy services at Hope are available to individuals, couples and families, regular attendees of Hope as well as guests and those in the surrounding community – people of any age, race, socioeconomic circumstance and gender. Although services are offered at the church, we do not require you to hold any certain religious beliefs. We’d be glad to discuss your spirituality, beliefs and values in therapy, and it is not our job to impose on you our spirituality, beliefs or values. Therapy can be helpful for a range of issues including couple, family, parenting and other relationship issues, anxiety, ADHD, divorce, substance abuse, depression, anger, stress, stepfamily issues and a variety of other things. Therapy can also be extremely helpful for those who are on a journey of self-discovery, or who just need help finding some answers. Please let us know how we can help.
What You Can Expect In TherapyFree Consultation Session. When you make the decision to go to therapy, it is very important that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose. For that reason, you may schedule a free consultation with Joel before ever starting therapy. This session is a time to meet your therapist, talk about your goals and see what therapy would be like before making the decision to officially begin. There is no fee charged for this consultation and there is no obligation to begin therapy. This session serves simply to introduce you to the therapy process so that you can make an informed decision about entering into it. Appointments. All appointments will be scheduled directly with your therapist and can be scheduled for daytime or evenings, depending on your schedule and the therapist’s. Regular appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes (commonly referred to as a “clinical hour”), although the first session may be a little longer. You may reach Joel to set up an appointment using the contact information listed at the bottom of this page, or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to send him an email. Fees and InsuranceWe have different options available to help pay for therapy. First of all, many health insurance plans will reimburse your Provider for therapy services. Below are just some of the plans/networks we can bill for mental health services. Keep in mind that some insurance plans will also pay out-of-network benefits for services. Please check directly with your insurance provider to see if you have benefits for mental health, specifically with Joel Ybarra, LCMFT as the Provider. In-Network Insurance Plans: These are not the only insurance plans we accept. If you are wondering if we accept your health insurance, please contact us. Financial AidIf your insurance does not cover services, Hope makes available funds to help people seeking therapy who might also need help paying. These benevolence requests are granted based on total household annual gross income and ability to pay. We desire to ensure that our therapy services are available to as many people as possible, regardless of ability to pay. If you are seeking these services and believe you might need help paying, please let us know and we will do our best to help.
